In Volume II we cover an entire year of refitting our 1975 Fisher 37 motorsailer to get her ready for our trip around the world. We replace the entire electrical and plumbing systems. We Install a completely new anchoring system, including an electric windlass, all new chain and a new, different kind of anchor. During a haul out, we have all the thru-hulls replaced, get the bottom job done, have the rudder repaired, sand and varnish all that teak, put a welder to work on modifications and much, much more. We tear out half of the pilot house interior in order to rebuild it the way we want it. We also take the time to do some coastal cruising to continue to learn all about our boat and what we need to do to get her and us ready for our trip around the world.
